Professional Background & Transparency
If you're considering working with me, I'd rather you hear my story from me than piece it together from search results. So here it is, openly and in full.
My Background
For more than two decades, I built and ran investment management businesses, including Systematic Alpha Management, a systematic CTA firm that grew to a peak of approximately $721 million in assets under management. Over the course of my career I raised more than $1 billion and worked with institutional investors, family offices, fund-of-funds, and sophisticated allocators across the US, Europe, and Asia.
That experience taught me how institutional investors actually evaluate a manager, what due diligence is really testing for, and what separates firms that are institutionally ready from those that are not.
What Happened
That chapter ended with a federal criminal case.
In October 2023, I pleaded guilty in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida to one federal charge relating to trade allocation practices at my former firm. Between 2019 and 2021, I allocated trades in a manner that favored accounts in which I had an interest over certain client funds.
I accepted responsibility for my actions, was sentenced to prison, was ordered to pay restitution, completed my prison term, and continue to comply with all remaining terms of my sentence.
In 2024, I entered into a consent order with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Under the order, I cannot manage accounts for others, raise or accept funds from others for trading, or register with the CFTC.
The investment management chapter of my career ended. The institutional experience didn't.
What That Means Today
I designed ViktoriAi to operate well within those limits. It is not an investment management firm, and it never needs to be one.
ViktoriAi does not manage client assets, provide investment advice regarding securities, raise capital, solicit or introduce investors, or act as a placement agent.
What it does is straightforward: I help emerging investment managers build stronger institutional businesses — refining their positioning, strengthening their investor materials, and advising on strategic initiatives such as fund structures, investor terms, and operational readiness. In every case, my role is advisory: I research, evaluate, and recommend. All decisions, all investor contact, and all execution of regulatory or structural changes remain with the client and their counsel.
I work exclusively on a fixed-fee basis, never on a share of assets or performance. You approve every document before it is used. Every investment decision, every investor conversation, and every regulatory responsibility remains entirely with you.
Every client sees this page before we begin.
Questions
Your due diligence on me is part of your job, and I would expect nothing less.
The court filings and regulatory orders are public record. If you have questions about my background, how I work today, or the boundaries of my advisory practice, ask before we begin. I will answer directly.
Transparency is not a marketing slogan for me. It is how I run this business.
