Engagement Options

Advisory from a founder who has been through it.

I built an investment management business to a peak of roughly $721 million in AUM and raised more than $1 billion over my career. I sat on the manager's side of hundreds of allocator meetings and due diligence reviews — so I know what actually moves a sophisticated investor, and what quietly kills an allocation before anyone says no.

That's the experience I bring to emerging managers now. Not as a consultant producing documents — as a founder who has been through it.

I work on a fixed fee because the value is the advisory work itself — the judgment, and the materials I build with you — not circulating an existing deck to the same investor universe everyone else is already calling. ViktoriAi does not provide investment management, capital raising, or placement agent services, and does not accept compensation tied to assets raised.

01 · INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW

The full picture, in writing

$1,000

Every engagement starts with a conversation. I look at your materials first, and on that call I walk you through what I found — one finding, in full, so you can see how I work and judge whether it is worth going further.

The Institutional Review is what comes next: everything else I found, written up properly. Not a summary of the call — the complete picture, in the order it matters.

Best if: we have spoken, you have seen the first finding, and you want to know what else is there before deciding how much to fix.

What you get
  • A written review of your presentation, tear sheet, DDQ, and website
  • Every issue an allocator is likely to find, in priority order
  • What closes each gap, and what it costs to close
  • A 45-minute debrief to work through the findings

Credited in full against any engagement begun within 30 days. If the review shows the business is in better shape than expected, you have that in writing too, and you owe me nothing further.

02 · INDIVIDUAL DOCUMENTS

Institutional documents, individually priced

From $1,500 per document

Each document is built to survive an institutional review, not just to look finished — and priced individually, so you develop only what your business needs.

Best if: you know which documents need work and want them done right.

Price list
Institutional Presentation$5,500
Firm DDQ$7,500
Investor-specific DDQ, once the firm DDQ exists$1,000
Executive Summary / Tear Sheet$3,000
Website Design & Content — full build$6,000
Website content only, for an existing site$3,000
Compliance Manual$1,500
Cybersecurity Policy$1,500

Individually, the six documents total $25,000.
Any three or more: 10% off.  The complete set as a package: $20,000 — a $5,000 saving.

The saving is not the main reason to take the set. These documents are built as one voice — the presentation, the summary, the DDQ, and the site saying the same thing in four formats. Assembled piecemeal over a year by different hands, they drift, and an allocator reading two of them notices before you do.

Not sure which of these your business is missing? The Institutional Readiness Check takes about two minutes and returns the gaps in priority order.

03 · RETAINER

Strategic Advisory Retainer

$5,000/month · minimum three months

Ongoing advisory for founders — the person you call before a decision that's expensive to get wrong. One flat monthly fee covering everything below, positioning work included. Unlimited access by phone, email, and messaging. No hourly billing. No meters running.

The questions are different for every manager — the constant is having someone who has faced them before.

Best if: you want institutional experience on call as the business evolves — not a one-time project.

Common areas of discussion

Positioning & the investment story

What the edge actually is, why it persists, and who it is for — settled in language you can repeat, and stress-tested against the objections an allocator will raise.

Structure & product decisions

Whether to launch a second product, restructure one that is underperforming, or wind it down. Whether to add a leveraged share class or offer separately managed accounts. How your fund's structure and service providers read to allocators.

Allocator relations & visibility

Which investor types fit your strategy, which databases and conferences matter, evaluating PR firms and third-party marketing proposals, assessing how to build or structure a sales function, building recognition through financial media and wire services.

Investor communications

I review the monthly letter and anything else going out to investors before it is sent — what it says, what it implies, and what an allocator will read into a sentence you did not think twice about. Beyond the review: what to send after a meeting and when, and the reporting rhythm that keeps a prospective investor engaged between conversations. I build the templates; your team runs them.

Launch & vendor decisions

For managers setting up a new vehicle: structuring the service-provider search, helping prepare the business information and strategic decisions your attorneys will translate into legal documentation, and scoping legal work so you pay counsel for legal analysis, not education. All offering documents are prepared by your attorneys.

Ongoing maintenance of any documents I've built for you is included. The retainer is advisory access, not document production; new documents, when needed, are scoped separately. I do not attend investor meetings; every decision stays with you. Limited availability.

04 · COMBINED

Full Institutional Build

$40,000

The complete document set plus six months of unlimited advisory — a full rebuild of how your firm is presented to institutional allocators, with an experienced founder on call while it happens.

The engagement combines the complete document set with six months of strategic advisory under a single engagement. Purchased separately, the same work totals $50,000.

Best if: you're committed to making the firm institutional this year — materials, positioning, and strategy together.

Every Engagement Begins the Same Way

Every engagement starts with a review of your current materials, positioning, and business objectives. From there, I recommend the work that is likely to have the greatest impact. Some managers need one document. Others need a broader strategic engagement. The scope depends on where the business is today — not on selling a larger project.
